How It Works

Treating the Vessels, Not Just the Redness

Persistent facial redness isn’t a stain on the surface of the skin — it’s blood, sitting in vessels that have dilated and stopped fully retracting. Once enough of those vessels are permanently widened, no amount of colour-correcting makeup or calming serum changes what’s underneath.

Laser treatment targets those vessels directly. The energy is absorbed by haemoglobin in the blood, heating the vessel wall enough that it collapses and is reabsorbed by the body. Surrounding skin is unaffected. As the dilated vessels clear, the diffuse red flush they created fades with them, and individual broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks often disappear entirely.

An important distinction: this treats the vascular component of rosacea — redness, flushing and visible vessels — which is what most people want addressed. Rosacea is a chronic condition with other features, including bumps, pustules and eye involvement, that need medical care. We work alongside that, not instead of it. Most clients complete 4–6 sessions and return for maintenance once or twice a year.

Your Appointment

What to Expect, Start to Finish

Every first visit at Majestic Laser begins with a free 30-minute consultation — no charge, no obligation to book.

  1. Free consultation

Nancy looks at your pattern of redness and asks about triggers and any diagnosis you already have. If your symptoms suggest you’d benefit from seeing a physician alongside treatment, she’ll say so.

  2. Test patch

A small test area confirms the right settings for your skin, because reactive skin needs a more conservative starting point.

  3. The session

Protective eyewear on, Nancy treats the affected areas. Most clients describe a brief warm snap on each pulse. A full face takes around 30 minutes.

  4. Hours after

Expect noticeable redness for a few hours — more than you started with. Treated vessels may look darker or slightly bruised for a few days before clearing.

  5. Weeks two to four

Redness calms progressively across the course. Individual vessels often clear after one or two sessions; diffuse background flushing takes the full course.

What We Can Help With

Laser works best on the vascular features of rosacea and general facial redness:

  • Persistent redness across the cheeks, nose and chin
  • Visible broken capillaries and spider veins on the face
  • Flushing that comes on easily and takes a long time to settle
  • Redness around the nostrils and along the sides of the nose
  • General ruddiness across the chest and décolletage
  • Redness left behind after acne or years of sun exposure

Before & After Your Session

How to Prepare and How to Care for Your Skin

Before your appointment

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for four weeks beforehand
  • No self-tanner for two weeks
  • Stop retinoids and acids for five days
  • Skip alcohol and spicy food the day before if they’re personal flushing triggers
  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin
  • Tell Nancy about any rosacea medication you use, topical or oral — we work around it, not against it

After your session

  • Expect more redness than usual for several hours; a cool compress helps
  • Treated vessels may look darker or slightly bruised for a few days before clearing
  • Gentle, fragrance-free skincare only for five days
  • Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every day — sun is one of the most common rosacea triggers
  • Avoid saunas, hot yoga and very hot showers for 48 hours
  • Keep up whatever medical treatment your doctor has prescribed

Why Majestic Laser

Rosacea Deserves a Careful Hand

Reactive skin punishes an aggressive approach. Rosacea-prone skin treated too hard gets worse, not better, which is why Nancy starts conservatively with a test patch and builds intensity across the course rather than chasing a fast result in session one.

Every session is performed by Nancy Becerril, a certified laser technician, licensed and insured. She’ll also be clear about the boundary: laser addresses the vascular side of rosacea. If you have papules, pustules or any eye symptoms, those need a physician, and we’re glad to work alongside that care rather than in place of it.

Majestic Laser has served Perryton and the Panhandle since February 2023, with clients from Spearman, Booker, Ochiltree County, Guymon, Oklahoma and Liberal, Kansas. Saturday appointments at 112 ½ S Main Street. Find us here.

Questions & Answers

Rosacea Treatment FAQs

Will this cure my rosacea?
No — rosacea is a chronic condition and there is no cure. What laser does very well is clear the dilated vessels causing visible redness and flushing, which for most people is the part that affects them daily. Results last well, and most clients maintain with a session once or twice a year.
Does it work on broken capillaries around the nose?
Yes, and often dramatically. Individual visible vessels are among the most satisfying things to treat because they frequently clear after just one or two sessions. Diffuse background redness takes the full course.
Will I be red afterwards?
Yes, for a few hours — more than when you arrived. Treated vessels can also look darker or slightly bruised for a few days. Most clients book late in the day or before a quiet weekend for their first session until they know how they respond.
Is it safe if I’m using prescription rosacea medication?
Usually, but tell Nancy exactly what you use, topical and oral. Some medications increase light sensitivity and change the settings we use. We work alongside your medical treatment rather than asking you to stop it.
Does rosacea laser treatment hurt?
Most clients describe a brief warm snap with each pulse, a bit like a rubber band. Sessions are short at around 30 minutes, and settings are kept conservative because reactive skin responds badly to being pushed.
How much does rosacea treatment cost in Perryton?
Rosacea and redness treatment starts from $150 per session. Exact pricing comes at your free 30-minute consultation, with no obligation. Book yours here or call (806) 648-8777.
